Ram Leela 2015:
Ramleela refers to the pageant of Lord Rama's life. This theoretical representation of Lord Rama's life takes place every year during the divine days of Sharad Navratri in the months of September-October. Ramlila is a grand event of North India. It is mainly observed in the areas of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, Punjab and so on. Big grounds are specially prepared or decorated with lights for celebrating the Ram Leela. Even these grounds are attributed the name as Ramleela Maidan (ground) because Ramlila is performed every year here. Again, Ramleela in 2014 will be performed in these Ramlila Maidans. Lord Ram is the main character whose different auspicious deeds are represented in Ramleela. The enact of his life is performed for the spiritual awakening of people. Every year, the representation of Ramlila is important to recall the favorable activities of Lord Rama. Ramleela in 2014 will again help in spreading Dharma and truth in our lives. History Of Ramleela Ramleela has been a part of celebrations of Dussehra or Sharad Navratri from the ancient times. In the 16th century (1625 AD), first Ram Leela was believed to have showed by the disciples of Tulsidas. Throughout this long journey, Ramleela comes across so many changes in its display and picturization. But, the message conveyed by this representation remains the same throughout. The sacred Ramleela mainly came into existence when the original version of Valmiki’s Ramcharitmanas was translated by Tulsidas for the convenience of people. The original Ramcharitmanas was written in Sanskrit, which was difficult to understand by most of the people. Tulsidas translated it into the language Avadhi, so that it would be easily understandable. At the time of the last Mughal Emperor, 'Bahadur Shah Zafar', Ramalila became an important tradition of Delhi. He, not only supported the representation of Ram Leela, but also used to sponsor the event. Slowly the roots of Rama Lila spreaded themselves from Delhi to whole of North India. And now, Ramleela is big event, which is widely celebrated throughout North India every year. Ram Leela 2015:Significance of Ramleela Lord Rama is the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He came on earth to teach the world the path of righteousness and Dharma. He taught how one should lead life and thus, he was attributed with the name of 'Maryada Purushottam'. His is full of truth, gentleness and honesty. He amazed the world with his auspicious deeds and settled a perfect example that all humans should follow the kind of character that he is having. The significance of Ram Leela comes from this point only. In today's life, no one has the time to read the ancient scriptures for knowing about the life of Lord Rama. Children are also busy in doing studies. So, there are very less sources remained with us, which can tell us about our history or the great stories of our ancient lords. Ramleela plays a very important part in spreading awareness among the masses about the importance of birth of Lord Rama on earth. Ramlila is a ten days long celebration, which starts from the first day of Sharad Navratri and commences on the day of Dussehra. Dussehra is celebrated to honor Lord Ram for his triumph of good over evil, whereas the nine divine days of Sharad Navratri are dedicated to Maa Durga. The performance of Rama's life or Ramleela during Sharad Navratri also shows us the connection between Lord Rama and the divine mother goddess. It shows that Lord Rama entered into a fight with Ravana during these divine days and beat him by the grace of mother goddess. He worshiped her and obtained her powers to vanquish Ravana. Ramleela in 2015 will come again with these auspicious messages. So, don’t forget to watch Ram Leela in 2015 in your nearest Ram Leela Maidan.
